CONSERVATION - I.R. / U.V. /LUX
Photosensitive  objects are often restricted to 50 lux illumination limit.
Integrated exposures are expressed in Lux hours of  illumination per year.
INFRA RED/THERMAL
Lightsource isolation prevents direct thermal problems.
Fibre is IR transparent up to 2000nm hence need IR filters and
/or  dichroic reflector coatings.
Total thermal content of fibre delivered light is 4-8milliwatts per lumen depending on the lamp type.
ULTRA VIOLET
Glass fibres act as strong UV filters e.g. UVA 2-1000 db/m,(400-320nm).
UVB 1000-10,000 db/m (320-290nm).
Typical conservation recommendations are 10uW per lumen which are easily met by fibre systems-1mtr long.(Direct QH or MH lamps result in 70uW per lumen)
PAR OPTI PROJECTS  Ltd are one of the oldest and most experienced  specialist manufacturer and distributors of optic fibre lighting equipment (since 1980) and are pleased to assist in the design and specification of all lighting projects in this field world-wide.
